After a day at Siam Ocean world , Tonsil Girl suggested we go check out a temple litterally next door. I forget the name of this place, but I really liked it. As you can see, it is right next to Siam Ocean World, or in between there and the World Trade center (now called Central world Trade? or something)...

Tonsil Girl explained that this Temple has a special meaning to her. It seems when we parted ways a few years back and her mother was sick, and she felt like she was losing control of her life, she checked in here for a few days. She sort of lived like a nun, working at the temple. She wore the white clothes, cleaned and cooked, and prayed, and meditated. After a few days, she felt better, left, and has been happier since. Her mother got well (never mind she always gets sick and well) and I am once again spending time with her...She attributes this to her prayers. Hey, what ever works for you in this day and age.

The temple is really very nice. Large sprawling grounds, with lots of trees providing a cooler alternative to the sun. We went in and walked around, lots of Bhuddas...

the best part is, this temple is all open air, and has fans, and trees for shade and a cooling, soothing effect...

We meditated, made tamboon, and prayed together, something we used to do a lot, but hadn't done since we had a major fight a few years back and parted ways. Afterwards, we sat outside, and drank tea, and talked about all the stuff we did, the problems etc. I've known her for maybe 6 years or so, and she takes credit for getting me into Bhuddism...which is o.k. Not really a Bhuddist, but I like it.

Here's a few more photos...Nun praying...

Something I really like about that picture, can't figure out what, it isn't really that good a shot, but I like it for some reason.

Temple's Chedi with Siam Paragon in the background. I love the way Bangkok is a mix of old and modern coexisting side by side...
