MooNoi
Sunday's the one day of the week where I have time to have a nice leisurely breakfast and scan of the Bangkok Post. Anywhere do a good western breakfast in the Silom area without having to go to one of the top hotels and pay a lot for their buffet? Just some nice little coffee shop or something where I can get DECENT bacon and eggs etc? Thanks if you can shed some light. MooNoi
..
The Irish Xchange carvery buffet is nice and not too pricy. B350? Try the Madrid on Patpong. Not sure of their brekky, but their regular menu is pretty OK. Cheers, SD
MooNoi
Thanks SD. SC so quiet last night... and even more so with out there! Come back soon fellah, ok? Is the Irish XChange near Patpong? Sorry - still don't know the area very well! Haven't explored yet... (apart from Star Of Light!)

Old Hippie
Madrid has a decent brakfast. And I'll second/3rd the Irish Exchange buffet, but more brunch than breakfast...
buddha
350 baht for breakfast? That isn't considered pricey for breakfast? What a rip......
Old Hippie
It really is, AS I SAID more of a brunch, roast Lamb, Prime rib, turkey, ham, yourkshire pudding, maybe eggs...I forget now...it is great, as it the brunch at Bei Otto, but that is nowhere near Silom. the_numbers
Madrid does a fine breakfast and you can get Steak and Eggs (you need steak sauce) for 150B One can even add on hashbrowns for 20B extra. It is a hearty meal and there's the Bangkok Post and the usual suspects to help you in getting ready for your day. Nice to watch the girls doing shots of Sangsom and soda glasses at 10.00AM with a regular as well... Made me practically nauseous from the standing hangover.
