gene1944
Had a meal with a friend at the Central Food Loft in the Chitlom store recently. When I was paying for the meals, the cashier asked if I had a Central card and I said "No" assuming she meant a Central credit card. She said if I had a Central Expat card she could give me a 5% discount. I had one and got the discount. First time since this place opened (two years ago?) that any one ever told me I could use the card at the Loft. I eat there at least once a week. Not sure if it can be used at the other restaurants in Central. To get a free expat card, I think you just have to apply for it at Central admin offices. It also gives you 5% off all non sale items at Central and Robinsons.
FreeTime
Good tip Gene1944. Do you happen to recall if the Central administration office is located in that particular Chitlom store, or somewhere else?
gene1944
I think there is one in every Central store.

gummigut
Crap, and I just paid 3k baht for a comforter! That's 150 baht! Dinner for a week! Meantime, the food court in my local tesco has raised fried chicken and kao mun gai to 35 baht a plate. They skipped 30 baht to my knowledge. From 25 to 35 baht. That's a big jump. Feel sorry for the poorer folk! Though they probably shun the food court and eat at the street corner like I do. The food is better! <>
..
Emporium/Paragon have the same thing (one card for both), but I think it costs ~B150. Still a deal. Cheers, SD
