Flashermac
It is Britain's fault! If Lord Howe hadn't buggered up and abandoned Cornwallis at Yorktown, we'd all still be speaking English.

texascity
There are countries to which henry kissenger cannot travel due to potential subpoenas .. seems he once left France in the middle of the night to avoid being served. & because of potential 'war crime' prosecutions the US opted in 2002 to not participate in the The International Criminal Court: over 140 countries are signatories .. including most of both New & Old Europe. (old Europe = UK, France & Germany ..California .. is a rummy-ism) " (ICC) was established in 2002 as a permanent tribunal to prosecute individuals for genocide, crimes against humanity .." " ..republicans in 2002 passed laws stopping providing military aid to countries in the ICC" "The United States has cut aid to countries cooperating with the ICC: Brazil, Costa Rica, Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, South Africa, and several other Latin American and African countries." "On 2006-02-09 the Chief Prosecutor published a letter[2] answering complaints connected with the invasion of Iraq. He concluded that complaint did not provide sufficient evidence an investigation of war crimes .. incident involved 20 people, did not appear to meet the "gravity" threshold for an investigation." "Israel fears prosecution of Israeli settlers, or Israeli government officials who support the policy of settlements, as "war crimes". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Criminal_Court#Jurisdiction
texascity
his only (ONLY 1 VETO) veto in 6 (SIX) years involved christian votes & stem cell research. Bush can be likable as bumbling stooge ie: Harriet Myers .. or his mentioning that the internets were good for looking at his ranch on Google maps. but he is radical & cut throat .. a vicious person unyielding to most negotiation .. will need to be out voted .. so his coming vetos can be 'over ruled'. & a neocon in his own dim witted way. the neocon mantra is US world dominance through globalization & military might.. it's in writing & signed by the most hawkish of 2001 Bush's staff .. most are now departed dominance through military might & corporate dominance are definitely on Bush's personal agenda
