We also stopped a time or 2 for gas, food, toilet etc... Driving Vs. flying...? Depends, if you want to see stuff along the way. Anything between KK and your final destination? or between BKK and that destination? in any event, drive faster than I did, oh, and in Thailand, apparently, the fast lane in on the right, a fact Mrs. Hippie #2 failed to tell me until we were 1/2 way back to BKK... Mekong Posted December 4, 2006 Report Share Posted December 4, 2006 Not so much seeing stuff, it seems the the times involved are comparable and with driving there is more flexability. If driving to Maha Sarakham I would get off Hiway 2 onto Hiway 23 (I meant Hiway 2 to you in previous posting) whick is approx 40 KM before KK then 75 KM East. Probably will drive, return flights are at 14:40 which is too early and 20:30 which means not getting to a christmas eve party until 22:30. My minds made up.
