Av8r
It's on the roof of one of the tallest buildings in Bkk. My friend is going to Bkk and krabi with his fiancee, and I want to give him the name of the place.

Nervous_Dog
The tallest building in Bangkok is Bayok Tower and doesn't have the outdoor restaurant, only a indoor one. Either Sirroc (Dome) or Vertigo, Sirocco is the best by far I think, I always try to get someone to take me there, only succeeded three time but great, and HUGE! rchapstick
Sirocco is taller, Vertigo has MUCH better food.

samak
Sirocco is taller, Vertigo has MUCH better food. could you explore on that? Sirocco invites world class chefs (Michelin 2-3 stars). what is better about Vertigo's food?
Nervous_Dog
I have to agree, eaten at Vertigo, was so so , while foood at Siroco not as good as other places was better I thought than Vertigo, but then I ate once only at Vertigo, three times at Siroco DOOG
buffalo_bill
If your friend is also a scotsman he might be interested to know that checkbin for 2 at the Scirocco easily shows a figure close to 8000 baht at the bottom line in case he is not a heavy drinker. The place is great , make sure it is not windy and the air is clean . Absolutely phantastic view over the riverside which is why I would prefer it over the Banyan Tree . If excellent food is an issue go elsewhere . BuBi
YimSiam
Second that - food at Scirocco has definitely been better in my experience, and the view/experience is overall better there, but I like Vertigo for a quick drink or two when not up for a big meal but wanting to show someone the views (and relaxed approach towards legal liability) available in Thailand. Bar at Vertigo is more comfortable than that standing area at Scirocco - are there even seats? Don't recall. If you can get a table in the bar area at Vertigo, it's excellent for a couple drinks.
