Shareholders should be outraged if they execs did falsify official business records! The IRS should file criminal charges. if it was their personal, out of pocket $$$, then mai pen rai. Now I never read tabloids, but I did read this tread chuckwow (chucking on your nick...LOL) I always have been disgusted by such company expenses and even more by the executives. Here a fairly innocent one: I got invited to attend a seminar in Australia (from Europe) all expenses paid by a company we contracted for a multy year contract. When my boss (VP Finance) was asked to authorise the trip he got upset (why was he not invited???) So the company reluctantly invited my boss also. When I asked my boss what session he was going to attend His answer was "NONE" , WE will rent a car and drive around the beaches!!! When his boss (Senior VP Finance and Administration) needed to sign the trip authorisation for the two of us he shouted "Why Am I not invited, I who signed the contract??? Sure he never travelled anywhere????? So the director of the inviting company said he would not do that and all was cancellled. Now I could tell you a few on both bosses business trips, including whores on company expenses. They would fly direct Lufthansa business class To Hong Kong iso taking our company B747 cargo planes with 14 business class seats and full on board service but with a stop at Dubai or Abu Dhabi, to avoid "jet lag". If the directors take their wives along with their best customers on a junket is that OK? But the company did, and put the bar girls in Reebok tops (or half-tops). Secondly Reebok was a champion of human rights and give awards for instance to people involved in saving children from prostitution in Thailand. While I found nothing wrong with the factories in SE Asia some people do and refuse Reebok Human Rights Awards. As for expenses. I did not go into that, but I am pretty sure they did not lose out on their next claim! So many grey areas and extenuating circumstances. Those ex-Reebok guys for instance...they could be OK guys to have a beer with who just happened to make an error in judgement. Think of the costs in medical and dental insurance alone, pensions etc. I would get at a pinch Reebok might employ in total maybe 500 or so staff.
