Wearing Shorts in Bangkok?

I was in Bangkok from June 29 through July 15. Since the weather was very hot and humid, I started to wear shorts and slippers. First day, I wore shorts and slippers, an old women saw me outside of Asok MRT Station and told me wants Yum Yum? She told me, "Yum Yum and smiled at me." What is yum yum?

 

I wore NIKE Dry Fit shirts and $45.00 slippers made in Hawaii, so I was wearing high end outfits! I didn't notice anything that was different from wearing shorts and long pants. I went shopping at MBK, Siem Discovery Center and Emporium, I didn't notice any difference. Maybe due to my looks, since I'm Asian and handsome with dark tan due to lots of tennis back home, lots Thais thought I was one of their own kind! But during my next trip to Bangkok in December, I will be wearing pants, shirts and shoes.
