teddy
I don't tuck my shirts or t-shirts into my jeans. People who do look like their mother has dressed them
Bangkoktraveler
Was over one day at a Thai couple's home. The man was dressed in a small towel. After awhile, he went for a beer run and didn't change his clothes. Like Thai style, he held the beer, not the towel while he drove.
The_Munchmaster
I like to wear the 'sado' (fisherman's pants).. Is that okay with everyone, thanks. At least they're not shorts, while being just as comfortable, if not more so. 'Sado pants'! No idea what they are but they don't sound too good. Pat_from_Jersey
Shorts are expected and accepted. You would be fooling to wear long pants in 100+ weather when on vacation. the exception of course is when you visit national monuments, the palace and major budhas. In these cases, show some class and respect by wearing trousers and shoes (black sock).
The_Munchmaster
The heat has nothing to do with anything, particularly in the evenings. I work in Dubai which is waaay hotter than LOS but no one wears shorts to the bars. If they do they get refused entry, at least in the evenings. MooNoi
I like to wear the 'sado' (fisherman's pants).. Is that okay with everyone, thanks. At least they're not shorts, while being just as comfortable, if not more so. I'm just dying to go up to a Southern Thai fisherman and say to him: "Hey mate... why are you wearing backpackers trousers???" Totally unpractical piece of clothing - they may be comfortable, but they have no pockets so not practical. And wearing them in public makes you look like a cheap back-packing piece of kee nok.
