We should remember that despite appearances, the Thai society is a conservative society. Although the Thais have a sex scene, it is behind closed (brothel) doors and out of sight. The problem with the farang scene, from a Thai point of view, is that we are so out in the open. That's OK as long as we are in Cowboy, the Pong, etc. But a 50 year old, over weight white guy pawing or even holding the hand of a 20 something Thai girl on the Skytrain is offensive to the mainstream Thai culture - and the mainstream Western culture as well. Often they told me: 'Use them, f**k them and throw them away, but never start a relationship' So please don't blame us alone. At the end we are only following the rules of YOUR society.
