Damen
I'll be in KL for the first time next month and will be staying at the Sheraton Imperial. Is that a good location for exploring the city? Any nightlife worth checking out in the area?
PP
[US$60? Plenty. KL is the cheapest place for hotels. You can get a 4+ star room for that or a little bit more. It is a great place to treat yourself for cheap. Cheers, SD But all the reviews I read of these hotels (<200 ringgit, 3-4 star) on TripAdvisor say that the hotel is filthy, roach infested etc. etc., including Swiss Inn as recommended above. Is someone just doing a wind up on ALL these hotels, they can't ALL be bad?
MooNoi
I have stayed at Swiss Inn approximately 20 times and *never* seen a cockroach there!
PP
To be fair to the Swiss Inn it got some good reviews also but the bad ones are what stand out the most as I'll be there with the missus and a young kid. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g298570-d310319-Reviews-Swiss_Inn_Kuala_Lumpur-Kuala_Lumpur_Wilayah_Persekutuan.html "Agree with earlier comment that it suffers from being caught between upmarket backpacker haunt and downmarket hotel"
PP
SD, checked out the Legend website link and it's 600 RM a night!
..
The price link gets you to Asia Travel who has it for RM230, unless you are looking at a suite or going during some big conference or other high time... Cheers, SD
