Mekong Posted April 27, 2008 Report Share Posted April 27, 2008 Day off in Liue, happens a jot with the Thai holidays, in the UK the only Public Holidays that can fall on a weekend are Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day and in each instance the following monday and somethimes tuesday (if christmas was a Saturday) are substitute ho;idays. So take Friday off and make a long weekend of it look at the English Calender. i said May Day is on a Thursday,never said it was celebrated on the actual Day. May Day BH is on Monday 5th May this Year,so not a lot of point for me to take the Friday(2nd)as a Day off. and as i said in my previous post i like to work a BH. triple time in wages and a Day off of my choice,not when the Government tells me to have the Day off. but as i don't work Mon-Fri it makes no difference to me. i work 3 out of 4 Monday's and Friday's a Month so i gain money and Day's off each BH.
