Old Hippie
I agree, many do equate price with quality, I don't. *But* many also have a felling at times of "...you only live once, here's the money make it happen..." and I suppose that is more less the same thing. SatRai
Depends BKKanalyst. Although it might be true with beer bar ladies or gogo bar it is definitely not true with ladies from other joints. I agree that many ladies working at "higher class" joints are just girls who climbed the "nightlife staircases" (got a promotion if you prefer" but many other ladies working at such places never came close to a chrome pole and will probably never do. Soi 33 has a good share of these ladies' date=' places like champagne had too and G clubs have many. Starfish exist everywhere but many ladies working at the venues understand very well the concept of good paying customers. Strange that I had my share of starfish in MP or gogo bars and never had a single one at champagne or pegasus (just 2 places among others)..... The fact that the gf calls me doggie is irrelevant though it may reflect how I can be when falling in love this is not my normal behavior when punting.[/quote'] First off, calling you a dog in indeed an intended insult. Nothing sweet or cute about it. It is a major insult.Same as calling you a buffalo, not sure which is worse. Maybe dog? Second of all, there isn't much difference between the Soi 33 girls and the other whores in BKK, just a matter of marketing. The Soi 33 girls who don't get a customer and still need cash may well slum it on lower Suk later at night. A few I know in Washington Sq. used to work on Soi 33, but the high costs involved often ment less bar fines/customers. Also tighter work rules. Annies also had a few rejects from Soi 33 as well. Again, it is all in the marketing, price is no indication of quality, especially when pussy is involved. Some guys are hung up on the "upscalenmess" of Soi 33, and somehow feel it is better, fine for them, all in what you/they like. Other guys are just happy to be in the same bar as some pussy, and will pay anything for the "privilege." But in the end, the product is the same, whether you pay $3000 on Soi 33 or 1500 for the same holes on lower Suk when she gets off work. I seriously doubt she gives you "twice the fuck" for twice the price. NOTE: I will concede there is a difference in the average punter in Soi 33 and the average punters in Nana and cowboy. This may be the real appeal for some. I do like Washington Sq, as the punters are generally better behaved regulars than the crowd at Nana and Cowboy. Calling someone a "dog" is a major insult indeed. And calling a girl a "whore" is an insult as well.
Old Hippie
"Whore" is a proper word, perhaps vulgar to some, but a proper word none the less. How is calling a woman who sells her body a "whore" really any different than calling her a "hooker" or a "Prostitute?" "...A rose by any other name..." and all that...and after all, if the shoe fits... Now calling someone a dog in Thai culture is indeed an insult, as would be calling a woman a bitch in western culture. To me, bitch is an insult, whore is not, it is more of a description. Of course were I to use the word bitch as a description, that *could* be an insult or not. Likewise, if I referred to a woman who did NOT sell her body, as a whore, then I suppose that could be an insult. But again, when and where the shoe fits... From Merriam-Webster's: (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/whore) whore 2 entries found. Main Entry: 1whore Listen to the pronunciation of 1whore Listen to the pronunciation of 1whore Pronunciation: \Ë?hoÃŒ?r, Ë?huÃŒ?r\ Function: noun Etymology: Middle English hore, from Old English hÃ…Âre; akin to Old Norse hÃ…Âra whore, hÃ…Ârr adulterer, Latin carus dear â?? more at charity Date: before 12th century 1: a woman who engages in sexual acts for money : prostitute; also : a promiscuous or immoral woman2: a male who engages in sexual acts for money3: a venal or unscrupulous person whore 2 entries found. Main Entry: 2whore Function: verb Inflected Form(s): whored; whor·ing Date: 1554 intransitive verb1: to have unlawful sexual intercourse as or with a whore2: to pursue a faithless, unworthy, or idolatrous desiretransitive verbobsolete : to corrupt by lewd intercourse : debauch Based on the Random House Unabridged Dictionary, © Random House, Inc. 2006. American Heritage Dictionary - Cite This Source - Share This whore Audio Help (hôr, hÃ…Âr) Pronunciation Key n. 1. A prostitute. 2. A person considered sexually promiscuous. 3. A person considered as having compromised principles for personal gain. intr.v. whored, whor·ing, whores 1. To associate or have sexual relations with prostitutes or a prostitute. 2. To accept payment in exchange for sexual relations. 3. To compromise one's principles for personal gain. So you can see, WHORE is indeed a proper word, and used in proper context, is NOT an insult at all.
JayT
JayT: - The things which changed: There are no more ST rooms upstairs. - This is certainly the number 1 bar in SC, this is why it is full of Japanese. - 700bht: Will get you nothing as, Japanese customers being there, the girls will "a bit more" than that for ST (do not even think to LT prices) I'm sure glad I got into several of those cute little spinners, with their sexy schoolgirl outfits, before things got so out of wack there pricewise. Don't ever need to go back there now, as I've been there and done that. Some other horney birdbrain can pay those exorbitant prices now.

USVirgin
I taught, "You da fuckin kine bra" (with handshake) to a Soi 33 girl. Haven't seen her in a year and a half and I wouldn't be surprised if she greeted me that way, next time she sees me.
