JayT
Who has the cheapest airfare between Hanoi and HCMC (Saigon)? Thanks. A link please if one is available. A quick check on kayak.com shows Vietnam Airlines having the best rountrip airfare at $466 from Hanoi (HAN) to Ho Chi Minh City (SGN). Didn't check for one-way. ..
That seems like a lot. Pass on the plane OH and take the train. The ride is beautiful, especially in the Da Nang area. Cheers, SD

MooNoi
Ok, OH. Try this: Pacific Airlines About $155.00 USD round trip based on the random dates in June I picked. As an airline, they are fine. They're part-owned by Jetstar (Qantas) so the standards are good. They do get delayed from time-to-time, but so do Vietnam Airlines, so a case of TIV. (This is Vietnam!) I've flown with them a few times and they're fine. Oh.. don't waste your time in Hanoi... sanook very thin on the ground there for westerners and a waste of time. Hopefully you're just transiting there. Much more fun in Saigon! Good luck! Moo
Old Hippie
I have no clue what I am in for in Saigon, a few spotty leads, and that is it. I'll wing it and go on my punter's intuition. As for Hanoi, was there for 3 days before, was o.k. but I had people taking me around. Flipped off Uncle Ho, and went home. The train ride takes 30-40 hours, yes HOURS! Might do it some other time. As of now, Think I'll stick to Saigon for 2-3 days.
