We were the only ones not japanese - Little Japan starts a few hundred meters away. Later we moved to La Casa 1/3 of the way down to NEP, much cheaper and good food - before could smoke there on the 2nd floor but police stopped that because the toilets were on that floor, now just smoking outside. Because it is damn expensive, full of Japanese, still decent but for sure not the best Italian in BKK. Best restaurant where to take a sophisticated TG for a meal...Same crazy thing like Vertigo or the likes except that the food is better at giusto. Just a "trendy flashy" place.
