Britain is Doomed

Dontcha just love it when the self-proclaimed 'Left' in the UK crawls out of its hole to denigrate the reading choices of the very people that it seeks to lead to its very own Utopia?

I do.

Meanwhile, another shouty unemployable (except by the public sector) misfit is still waving Socialist Worker in the faces of shoppers in such hot-beds of revolution as Crouch End and Muswell Hill.

I love 'em to bits, I do. Like double-decker buses, fish and chip shops, flat caps, the closed shop and Clause 4, they are all wonderful rosy memories of a byegone time.

GWB signed into law legislation that creates another bureaucracy, the Federal Housing Finance Agency. GWB has truly made the federal government a lot larger then any other President has. Figure it out?

Under GWB the number of federal civil servants has been on the rise, but so are the numbers of employees working for government-funded contractors and for organizations that receive government grants. Figure that one out also!

I was being sarcastic and whilst that is the lowest form of wit, it amuses me.

I'd question your intellectual capacity, regarding finding clippings from The Sun and The Daily Mail intriguing. They are commonly regarded as appalling newspapers and appeal to working class, lowest common denominator types. They are also generally conservative and highly biased in their reporting, which anyone with a modicum of intelligence knows about.

Finally, learn to spell.

Does not matter were these articles were clipped from. What matter is if these stories are true or not, and as they were rather factual I guess at least the essence is true. Your only reaction to these articles is their source, and not their content. If the articles are correct, and nobody this far has denied that, donâ??t you find them relevant in this thread?

I think if another person had posted those clips, your reaction would be entirely different. Thus I think your reaction was totally childish, as was your mocking of my spelling. I am from Norway, and there were two minor errors (one missing space and one missing L). I would like to see you do better in your second language, but I guess you donâ??t even remotely know any.

Sometimes even your sworn enemy has a point; only fools fail to acknowledge that.

Oh dear, oh dear...

Please re-read my above replies. I was being sarcastic and I readily admit to being childish. RY gets special treatment, as he is rather 'special'....he tries to provoke, uses spurious arguments and weak evidence to engineer a point. He reaps what he sows.

I apologise for my comment on your spelling, your english is very good. I'm able to converse in 3 languages adequately, 4 or 5 more poorly.

As you can see from my above point I'm able to acknowledge where I go wrong. Please refrain from being so personal.

I'm open and capable of learning from an enemy/opponent, if the person concerned has a point.

Are you suggesting that the reportage here is inaccurate?

Probably. They are propaganda sheets actively trying to undermine the current govt. Picking up on trivial non events and twisting the facts to make a story that shows the govt in a bad light are all part of the formula.

If the Sun and/or Mail are accurately reporting significant events then why shouldn't someone quote them?

Feel free. You just look a dick. No thinking (rather than just reacting) person in the UK would take them that seriously.

These events either occurred or else they didn't. They are either significant or else they aren't. The source is not directly relevant, just the accuracy and significance.

I agree.

Try to raise your game a bit here please.

Who was it who posted this as evidence that Britain is doomed?

Though the popularity of these rags and the number of people influenced by them may well back that up.

The Sun???

Great source RY!

Let's see today's headlines

Better still, let's check out Page 3 of the Sun. Some fine reporting and political commentary there.

Dude, if you ever decide to get out of your Bechtel cubicle and travel a bit, perhaps you'd understand why people are laughing at the Sun. The only thin missing from their "reporting" is a story of space aliens kidnapping Britney Spears. Kinda hinders their overall credibility a bit.
