PPP is still Thaksin's party with the objective to bring Thaksin back to power

Sounds like speculation and I think it is wrong. First, PPP is not Thaksin's party but rather remnants of the TRT that has evolved without Thaksin and Thaksin holds no rank in the PPP. What we can learn from this event is: (1) Thaksin is guilty of some serious stuff and he knows it (2) Thaksin has no control over the courts and will be nailed to the wall just like his wife and (3) most importantly the PPP/Samak apparently have no intention of pardoning Thaksin despite having the power to do so. That last part seems to put a damper on your theory.

Was just reading the Bangkok Post. Guess who missed their flight :surprised:

Seems ol square face and his wife got on a plane to London instead of Bangkok..

They will say we thought this was the flight back. When we realized our mistake we were in London  And the next flights back are all booked up..

See you when we see you.

Thaksin initially bankrolled PPP and the upcounty proles voted for PPP with the understanding that it was his party. The same folks in my neighbourhood who displayed the TRT posters on their homes and carts also displayed the PPP posters when the election came.

However, Samak likes being PM and Mr T should have known that. :)

maybe things changed dramatically during last couple of months within PPP!

the PUPPETS bought by Thaksin and initially acting on behalf of him gained power and became ZOMBIES, who turn now against him!

BANGKOK: -- People Power Party MP Pracha Prasopdee said Monday that former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra made a right decision not to return to Thailand.

Pracha said Thaksin respected the judicial system but he definitely had certain reasons to decide against returning to the country.

"He has his rights, freedom and honour to protect. We should wait for him to explain his reasons," Pracha said.
