Mekong
Its a right barstard trying to photograph lightening. Best way to do it is if you have "Time Lapse" movie mode on the camera, set it off at 1 FPS and leave it running for a few minutes, guaranteed to get 2-3 good frames that can be copied as stills. Nice Pics Teddy

Mekong
And what bloody camera's have that! As I told you yesterday after our discussions on Tuesday my Canon IXUS 950 IS has Time Lapse Mode. I will probably take the tripod out with me next week and capture the choreographed birth of a market some afternoon.
teddy
I didn't take these photos, a friend sent them to me yesterday. Wouldn't like to claim other peoples work. Besides, I have a pretty good camera but it doesn't stretch to taking photo's 3,500 miles away.

radioman
Okay, thanks for that. It is quite interesting as I have been working a project recently in that same neighbourhood where the customer has been telling me how much they don't need to worry about lightning protection, one of my specialities. Great stuff for me to have info like this, ha ha!
Mentors
WOW, that's why Vietnamese always don't want to book a room on a higher floor.

Great stuff for me to have info like this, ha ha! This building does have lightning protection, consists of big rods sunk into the ground around the base. MM should know more because he would have paid for the stuff. Here's some more pics:
