You're the second person to mention PB and cheese so as I have some mature cheddar in the fridge I'll give it a try (while watching the Arsenal match).

Couldn't wait for the Arsenal match so had PB + mature cheddar with some of Mrs H.S. Ball's chutney at half time of the Man U/Liverpool match (4 v 1 for Liverpool!). Very pleasant and original taste. :thumbup:

Try spreading some margarine or butter on the peanut butter side. Soft margarine works best as it spreads better. Honey works as well, but does make it a bit sweet.

 

Another childhood favorite is to mix peanut butter, brown sugar and butter (or honey) in sauce pan over a low heat until fully liquefied. Pour onto a cookie sheet covered with wax paper (very important if you ever hope to remove it) and put in freezer until set. Of course this is pre-teflon days, so maybe wax paper is not needed anymore.

Portions of ingredients are entirely up to personal taste.
