Mekong
My natural accent is so broad that probably only SiLeakHunt would understand it since we are from the same neck of the woods, so majority of the time I try to refine it but as more alcohol is consumed the more my homie slang and twang comes out. On the rare occassions that Mrs M partakes of a tipple and gets tipsy she forgets she is Thai and speaks English all the time. Quite funny in taxis when the Thai is giving directions in english and the Farang is translating to Thai, she also calls her sister and chats away in English. Steve
Just a note on accents...which I suppose we all have...I recall a night at Woodstock where a group of us had gathered, and one guy (won't say from where) had such a thick accent, no one understood him! When he left, we all looked at one another and said "what the hell was he on about?" It was indeed that strong...or we all that daft... My guess is scottish or geordie.
