Coss
Passengers (2016) Malfunctioning suspended animation pod wakes up man early on an interstellar trip to a distant colony planet. So he wakes up a woman. Michael Sheen does a very good turn as the robot barman. Laurence Fishbone wakes up too then dies. Not a bad, light weight SciFi, but the barman is the best, the rest are less. Worth a watch.
Coss
Silence (2016) In the 17th century, two Portuguese Jesuit priests travel to Japan in an attempt to locate their mentor, who is rumored to have committed apostasy, and to propagate Catholicism. F'in prosleytisers. But it is a Martin Scorsese movie, so it's very well made and keeps one's interest. I won't give away the ending. Worth a watch, long watch, 2h 41min . Coss
Moonlight (2016) 3 parts of a young man's life, growing up underprivileged, crack whore mother (Naomie Harris), and as we discover, he fancies men. Took a while to get going, not bad in the end, good acting by all, story a touch tedious. A movie that's better than the seat back in front of you on a long flight. Coss
Doctor Strange (2016) Marvel's "Doctor Strange" follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City's Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilising a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Written by Marvel. Benedict Cumberbatch seems to fit this role. Not bad, worth a watch.
Flashermac
Sounds interesting. Never heard of that one, even if it does star the guy with the strange name. Is it somewhat comic book level?
Coss
Well a little, but then Cumberbatch carries the role so well, it's as good as the Indiana Jones movie I guess.
