Good, very good, after a little slowness at the beginning. Worth a look, Virginia Madsen is great. Candyman (2021) If this were a sequel, then meh.. As a reboot or for folk who've not seen the 1992 version, Not Bad. Worth a look.
Coss
The Power of the Dog (2021) Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons - Directed by Jane Campion Set in Montana in 1925, filmed in NZ's South Island landscapes. At first, an off-kilter western, then something more of a chick flick, but ultimately very good.
Coss
Dune (1984) As much as I like David Lynch as a director, this is not very good. Again, I clicked on a link in Kodi for the 2021 movie, and got the old one, of the same name. I can report that Dune 1984 has not aged well. Hopefully like Candyman, the 2021 version will pop up in a week or three...
Coss
The Stone Killer 1973 Charles Bronson Cop movie, heavy on the slang of the day. Entertaining and well paced. I always though that Bronson was a larger person, he's quite petite, next to some others... Well worth a watch
cavanami
Where's a good site to download movies? Most of the ones I have used in the past are not so good now. Searching for free movie downloads comes up with sites that offer to rent movies but not free...WTF
Coss
Fate Is the Hunter 1964 Black and white. Glenn Ford... Nancy Kwan... Rod Taylor...Suzanne Pleshette... Jane Russell An airline executive refuses to believe that pilot error, by his friend, caused a fatal crash and persists in looking for another reason. This is very good. Palatkik
Free Guy [2021] Sci-fi comedy action, a bank teller discovers that he's actually an NPC (non-player character) inside a brutal, open world video game. Frivolous fun in a stylish clever concept movie, with some established actors, if sitting in a soulless video game environment for nearly two hours is entertaining? A pass here. Palatkik
Rose Plays Julie [2019] In this intimate exploration of identity, trauma and power, a young Dublin woman seeks out her birth mother, knowing she doesn't want contact, inadvertently triggering a string of events which change both their lives. A brilliant edge of the seat dramatic thriller with wonderfully immersive soundtrack. Worth seeing, despite original date of 2019, seems to be coming online in 2021. Coss
Coming Home in the Dark 2021 Disturbing little Kiwi flick. If you've ever been incarcerated as a young person, avoid. Otherwise, well done and some real Kiwi scenes. Picks up towards the end. Worth a watch.
