Hamokhamok
Anyone with comments on this at this early stage. Can it be obtained in Pantip or other outlets yet ??
kamui
I am running a free test version of Windows 7 Ultimate (valid until Mach 2010). It runs very smooth and has a few, inintrusive new features like a much better taskbar. Also the explorer has new features and setting up networks is said to be easier. Otherwise it doesn't look that different to Vista. It's just how Vista should have been from the beginning. Parallel to Windows 7 Apple will bring out its lates OS 'Snowleopard'. Acutally Snowleopard is like Windows 7 merely an update. The difference is, that it's much cheaper than Windows 7 (an upgrade is just 29 USD). Guest
...and Snow Leopard will take up less space on your hard drive, since it totally abandons "legacy support" for OS 9...
Hamokhamok
Can you have Windows 7 running at the same time as XP or does 7 replace XP ?
kamui
If you install Windows 7 on an addtional empty partition it will automatically be setup as a dual boot system. I did so and now can choose between Windows 7 and Vista when I boot the PC.
The_Munchmaster
....I did so and now can choose between Windows 7 and Vista when I boot the PC. And why, oh why, would you want that?? If Windows 7 is better than Vista then why would you ever use Vista.

WorldFun
yes me too, but as bought new notebook with it preinstalled it's pretty hard to get rid of it (single partition) & I hear the obvious option of install XP is tricky at best as Acer don't always supply such drivers... cavanami
Use Partition Magic and make another partition on your hard disk. Install XP on the new partition. this gives you the option to boot to either OS.
