Faustian
Probably been asked countless times before.... But Going there with my lady for my birthday. Want somewhere on the beach. No interest in nightlife, just a nice resort type setup. Money no object. Quality paramount. Any ideas fellow travelers?
radioman
A suite at the Hilton would be quite nice. But if MNO I think there are several in the 10K/night and up.
rchapstick
I've always liked goig south of Hua Hin to the beach near the standing Bhudda. Kaban Tamor is very nice (www.kabantamor.com)
BelgianBoy
Fausty, No doubt you must go to the Wora Bura : http://www.worabura.com/ Tim can sort you out in no time for that. Been there 3 times, best of the best. BB
unit731
Well it depends if you want the newer Hilton or the much grander older (but updated) luxury Sofitel Hotel. Both near each other. Both on water. My preference is the Sofitel. Grand elegance at it's best. SOFITEL HOTEL - HUA HIN Both near town, shops, restaurants, warf/pier/docks. Mentors
yes, try the famous Sofitel Hotel. It is a famous building which was used in the film "The Killing Fields". Take attention, some newer expensive hotels are some kilometers away from the town.

WorldFun
wow some of the finish hh got to offer already nicely presented, but I guess price/rate still matters even to faust? regular/promotional worabora rate on their web start above 5k, so I wonder what Tim rates would be (BB)? very very nice place & excellent location also (not to central not too remote), but surely sofitel is the absolute classic & I can verify it feels great not only to steal a stroll, but also to be a guest there... on traditional there's regent also else a myriad of 'boutique resorts' all over the place most as beachfront... choose wisely & that includes how to book (with who) LOL! CTO
Stay in town - long way out is a long way - Hilton and Sofitel are in town - Hilton often has promotions for residents - walking around the sois behind the Hilton is great fun at night
