I didn't really want to start a new thread about this so I figured this was a good place to put this.

We were talking earlier about golf being a sport (we all know it is now that Eldrick is recognized as Athlete of the Decade) but this certainly is not a sport. NASCAR?? Come on......

NASCAR’s Johnson wins male athlete of the year

I nominate David Beckham as the most hyped athlete of the decade. :soccer:

Yeah that :neener:

Certainly one of the most commercial packaged.

Ability-wise he has the score on the board though.

How's this, Fox newsguy Brit Hume advises Tiger that in order to make a total recovery he needs to publicly leave Buddhism and become a born-again Christian. Nice.

Kind of thing that makes me sympathetic to people that think Americans are idiots.

Quoted from Brit Hume:

"Tiger Woods will recover as a golfer. Whether he can recover as a person, I think, is a very open question. And it's a tragic situation ... But the Tiger Woods that emerges once the news value dies out of this scandal, the extent to which he can recover, seems to me to depend on his faith.

He's said to be a Buddhist. I don't think that faith offers the kind of forgiveness and redemption that is offered by the Christian faith. So my message to Tiger would be, "Tiger, turn to the Christian faith and you can make a total recovery and be a great example to the world."
