gobbledonk
Yep, I'm losing it - half my brain is telling me that the 'Departure Tax' is included in the price of my Air Asia ticket to Sillypore, and the other half seems to recall having been slugged for it in the last couple of years - please put me out of my misery ! Tks, Gobble
expat
It's been included in the ticket for me for about the last 2 years? or so, definitely the last year.
chelseafan
Yes all now included now as far as I know... 500 baht seems reasonable unlike Heathrow which charged me about 20% of the ticket price, forgot thais....the British government are the biggest scammers around... TroyinEwa/Perv
U.S. Departure tax is 13.40usd, around 445 baht. And for what??? I understand the arrival tax as that is when you use the government agencies but when you depart the US, you use none of them. What a scam!! chelseafan
My mistake 700 baht it was. Troy, you think you have it bad, I just dug out a receipt from Jan 2007 when I travelled to Thailand. Total bill was £494. Out of that £118 was for airport tax, now lets assume Don Muang were charging 500 baht (£10 at the time), that leave £108 tax for Heathrow!!!!! As you say....for what !?
