Thaksin is seriously sick

April 9, 2010

11:00 am:

Thaksin Shinawatra is believed to be in grave conditions following his chemotherapy treatment in a Dubai hospital a couple of days ago.

He went into a state of shock yesterday.

He is suffering from the side effects of the chemo treatment. Thaksin is known to have been suffering from prostate cancer for a while.

A good friend of mine said she heard from a doctor friend that Thaksin received chemo treatment in the Dubai hospital before hastily flying off.

"But he went into a shock from the chemicals. His jet was obliged to fly back to Dubai, where he is now staying. His body no longer can take the chemicals from the chemo bombardment," she said.

Thaksin's medical treatment is the reason why he failed to make a phone-in into his Red Shirt supporters in Bangkok over the past several days.

He suffers from a shock after a chemo treatment.

A team of doctors from Rama 9 Hospital have been despatched to Dubai to help treat Thaksin.

"Dr Vorachai Ratanatharathorn, a chemotherapy specialist, has suddenly asked for a leave from Rama 9 Hospital. A team of doctor has also left for Thailand to Dubai," a well-known doctor in Bangkok told me.

Many Shinawatras are travelling to Dubai to pay a visit to Thaksin.

"But one of my friends has just told me that Thaksin was having breakfast this morning," the doctor said.

One person who has talked to a relative of the Shinawatras told me that Thaksin is believed to be seriously ill.

"A team of doctors from Rama 9 Hospital has also left for Dubai. The medical equipment will be sent via a separate cargo flight," he said.

A Boeing 747 left Bangkok at 8 o'clock with the medical equipment.

A friend of mine at Kasikornbank just called me five minutes ago for confirmation of the rumour that Thaksin is seriously ill.

However, Yingluck Shinawatra, or Pu, who is a sister of Thaksin, has just talked to one of her friends that Thaksin is doing fine.

Yingluck is also believed to have left Bangkok for Dubai.

The story has been around for over a year now, with Takky allegedly getting progressively worse. Could it be the reason for the rejection of even a six month election call? Maybe the army's Khmer witch doctors are better than Takky's. :dunno:

I wouldn't wish cancer on anyone, not even Takky. Can't feel very sorry if it is true though. How many thousands of deaths is he responsible for now? He's not exactly Mother Theresa. The red shirts might actually amount to something without him. :hmmm:

The reds are a strange lot - divided between some who sincerely want democracy and don't like the way Abhisit became PM, and others who only want Takky back in hopes he'll give them something. Still, if he snuffed it, would the farmers go back home or stick around and continue to support the reds?

If he died, call an election immediately. Give em enough rope.

This story doesn't add up. Thaksin wouldn't be paying for these protests if he had very little chance of ever benefiting by them, namely to return again as PM.

I can't count these as legit sources, so very skeptical of this. Basically I don't believe it, tho stranger things have happened. Saturday for example, when a 21st century army was unable to clear civilians from a public square.

do you have any idea who you're quoting here?

thanong is one of the yellow-shirted fascists' main propagandists. even by the depraved standards of the nation his rabid, nonsensical "editorials" are a stunning collection of shameless lies, rumours, hearsay and, at best, half-truths.

like goebbels, but without the brains.

shame on you for posting a link to this retard, who could only go work for the pyongyang daily if he ever got fired from the nation.

Anyway, please do not use the Nazi comparison. The Nazi where a much different matter - and this comparison gives the impression that you have no idea that what you are talking about

Mr Colorwolf, thank you for your missive.

I normally take posts like this in my stride as it is so easy to misconstrue from the internet word, and as such I near always give the poster the benefit of the doubt when something contrary pops up in response to something I have tendered.

But shame on me?

The title of this thread is "Takky not well?" and contains (for your edification) a question mark.

This mark, the "?", is exclusively used to turn a word or words into the form of a question.

Thereto, I am asking a question. This is a perfectly valid action on an internet board such as this.

You may have opinions about the writer of the article I quoted. But it is important that you realise that I posted this to question it's content. To associate me or my opinions with the writer or his opinions, is the height of arrogance, or more probably ignorance.

Shame on you, Mr Colorwolf.
