Mekong
Just spent a bit of time playing with Opera Mini Browser on iPhone 3GS and so far I prefer it to Safari. When I use the iPhone for browsing its only for a few sites so the 9 Bookmark Speed Dial, same as full blown Opera, is a welcome addition. But what really impressed me is the speed of opening webpages, not that noticeable when sat close to my wireless router but when using 2G (EDGE) there is a noticable differance in loading times, in some cases approx 5 times faster. Another feature I like is the fact that you can change into "Full Screen" mode thereby making better use of the screen. I recommend iPhone users give it a test drive. Coss
What can I say, you're right, lovely little app, spins along quite nicely. Coss
Mekong
Coss, I just knew you would be one of the first to give it a shot. My only complaint, and this is aimed at Apple and not Opera, is that Safari is still set as Default Browser with no way to change it YET!
radioman
He he, well of course Opera comes installed on the HD2, and is of course the default browser, though you can have IE (ugh) if you want. Of course WinMo lets you set pretty much all the defaults without being tied to anything proprietary. Opera mini in landscape mode on the 4.3 inch screen and with the Swype keyboard for entry, it's hard to think of a better way to web browse whilst on the move.
