drogon
Paragon, Gaysorn, Siam discovery and Emporium, to whom do they belong? If it comes to burn symbols of the elite I would rather burn these ones rather than Central world, Big C or Robinson... But then, maybe the most luxurious ones do belong to Mr T and co. Faustian
Have a lot of fond memories associated with CW. I will miss it. Although there's talk of it being rebuilt. A lot on the left end seems to have survived quite well.
bust
It wasn't gutted by Arsonists it was gutted by TERRORISTS who's chief paymaster was out shopping in Paris at the time. Long bow to draw. Not sure they deliberately targeted buildings with disregard for the safety of civilians.

Pom Michael
Just remember that Central Chitlom burned down about 10 years ago and was rebuilt even nicer. So don't expect Central World (I still think of it as the World Trade Center) won't be rebuilt even nicer. Cheers!
Dumsoda
Maybe not so quickly... Insurance policies usually cover against Fire damage.... Not sure about exclusions relating to Terrorist Attacks though... Just a billion dollar thought....
Specialist
Do any buildings in Bangkok have working sprinkler systems? I am quite certain Central World had a good sprinkler system. However, electricity and water were shut off in the area, as part of the campaign to persuade the Red Shirts to decamp. Sprinklers don't work very well without water... pasathai1
are they getting lots of volenteers to sift through the rubble?

The time bomb they set up and left in the Four Seasons Hotel would seem to argue against you.
