Bangkoktraveler
When GWB was President nobody gave a 'damn cat's ass' about those who were losing their jobs. Now the unemployement is at 7.8% which is the lowest rate during Obama's administration.
Bangkoktraveler
The way Willard talks American Motors might get resurrected and get ungodly mileage in their premiere car......... 500 pounds of coal pushing the car down the road for 100 miles. Steve
The Biden vs. Ryan debate has the potential to be a SNL skit. Romney won on performance but he lost me on substance. He changed positions in the debate. The next one will be interesting. The expectations are higher for him now. No more “handicapâ€. Credit where credit is due. He did a great job and the strategy of looking like a champion of the middle class worked.

Flashermac
Rasmussen: Obama 271, Romney 267 One month and one day before the most important presidential election in the past quarter of a century and perhaps in the past century and a quarter, Rasmussen Reports shows the race being about as even as it could possibly be. At this point, Rasmussen’s state-by-state polling shows that President Obama would win by the tally of 271 electoral votes to 267 for Mitt Romney. All of Rasmussen’s polls in the nine key swing states have been taken in the past three weeks, although the polls have been taken at different times during that stretch. In these nine key swing states, Rasmussen’s polling shows Romney leading in Virginia (by 1 percentage point), Florida (by 2 points), Colorado (by 2 points), Iowa (by 3 points), and New Hampshire (by 3 points). Rasmussen’s polling shows Obama leading in Ohio (by 1 point), Nevada (by 2 points), Wisconsin (by 3 points), and Pennsylvania (by 12 points). Two months ago, on August 2, Rasmussen showed Obama ahead by the tally of 284 electoral votes to Romney’s 235. Obama subsequently expanded his lead, eclipsing 300 projected electoral votes, before falling back into what is now, for all intents and purposes, a tie. Flashermac
Post-Debate, Florida Swings 4 to 6 Points Toward Romney Newly released polls from Rasmussen Reports and WeAskAmerica show that Mitt Romney has overtaken President Obama in Florida in the wake of the first presidential debate. Three weeks ago, Rasmussen showed Obama with a 2-point lead in the Sunshine State (48 to 46 percent). That margin has subsequently swung 4 points toward Romney, who now has a 2-point lead of his own (49 to 47 percent). A little over two weeks ago, WeAskAmerica showed Obama with a 3-point lead in Florida (49 to 46 percent). That margin has now swung 6 points toward Romney, who now leads by an identical tally (49 to 46 percent). Romney’s lead in Rasmussen is fueled by a huge surge in his level of support among independents. That poll now shows Romney with a whopping 25-point lead among independent voters in Florida — 55 to 30 percent — compared to Obama’s having held a 3-point lead among such voters (46 to 43 percent) just three weeks ago. unit731
Bloomberg News "The unemployment rate in the U.S. unexpectedly fell to 7.8 percent in September, giving President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign a boost a month before the election." LINK There goes that "Mainstream" liberal/left/progressive media - again. Printing good news for Obama and the Democrats. Except the article uses the word "unexpected". Those liberal/left/progressive media outlets do have a way with words. One right wing talking head claims that Obama "manipulated" the BLS numbers. Other right wing talking heads droned out the same old story of part time jobs, low paying jobs, people leaving the work force, unemployed who have actually died, and on and on. Yes, someone who has actually died will no longer be looking for a job.

kamui
Yep, it's got more close since the debate. Now we have a debate plus for Romney which might be a little bit lessened by the positive job report which came just in time. The next two debates seem to be really important, but now Obama has to deliver instead of Romney.
