Terminate them? Let's not forget Thailand was Hitler's ally in WWII!! Well, more directly an ally/collaborator of the Japanese, but still...

Is that why the Japanese invaded in Prachuap Kirikhan and many Thai lives were lost during that invasion?

how? too many facts. do they believe the earth is flat as well?

There is a internationally connected scene of so called Holocaust deniers.

In this case right wing leaders and islamists and other anti-Israel groups are working together (usually right wingers/ Neo-Nazis and Islamists are enemies)

6 years ago Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran's president, even organized an anti-Holocaust conference in Iran.

That's huge debate and there is one huge difference:

Unless Stalin, Hitler just didn't leave the people in the countryside to starve or have them randomly imprisoned and/or murdered.

Hitler had his underling execute the murders of millions of people with an industrial efficiency. There was a huge buerocracy involved organizing the trains to the Concentration Camps, organizing and building gas chambers, dividing the prisoner among the companies where they often have been worked to death, eliminating the Ghettos, e.g.

And the Nazi regime did not turn against their own operatives and party members in a form of absolute paranoia (one reason that Stalin lost almost every battle in the beginning was, that he had killed almost all high ranking, experienced soldiers). But this was maybe because the Nazi regime wasn't in power long enough...

The result for the victims was of course the same, be it in Germany, Russia, China, Cambodia or now North Korea.

Yeah, people (including me) tend to focus on the symbolism of the Nazis because it is so overt: the swastika, the SS, Auschwitz, Hitler youth, state managed genocide (which was done efficiently, as you describe, otherwise wouldn't have been possible on such a horrible scale).

The stuff that is harder to see: Germany was arguably the most advanced nation "culturally" at the time this was happening. I believe there were something like 15 Nobel prize winners coming out of Germany in the 30s who definitively supported National Socialism. Not to mention guys outside of Germany like Gerald Henry Ford, Knut Hamsun, etc.

If you look prior to WWII you see a lot of Utopian political movements in the West and a belief that people are inherently good.

The actual lesson is that people are not. National Socialists emerged in a country with great traditions of scholarship and art. Not a bunch of crazies. How did that happen? Be cautious with consolidation of power. Be cautious of things that offer a simple remedy to all of life's ills - be it religion, political movement, nationalism, etc. Be cautious of being complacent.

I don't know.

Edit: I don't know where 'Gerald Ford' came from. Serious brain fart. It's still early over here on the CA coast, I need to go back to sleep. :)

How would you call the elimination of the SA than? Plus the elimination of numerous high ranking officers who needed to command non-existing armies towards the end of the war? The Nazi's were most certainly long enough in business to 'clean' their own ranks.

and yet today, many deny anything like that happened !

The problem is the dialogue. Look at your response to some very valid points robaus raised some months back. The best you can come up with is he must be "off his meds".

Raise a valid point or even try discussing the topic and you only insult and flame so I can only assume you have nothing grown up to say.

I don't owe Israel shit but my country – the US - continues to give more money to Israel than any country has ever given to another in history. My country is now basically broke.

If you and your fellow Belgistanis want to bankrupt yourselves, even more than you are now, for Israel then by all means please do so.

If all goes well the Germans will be able to raise the retirement age again, maybe to 75 or 80, so Germany can continue to fund countries like Greece, Ireland, Portugal and Belgium.

Holocaust denial is now a crime in many European countries.

Holocaust denial and not wanting to support Israel are not the same thing.

Did you see the 60 Minutes special two weeks ago that the Israeli Ambassador tried to stop? Palestinian Christians do not fit the general view of Palestinians in the US media and billions of dollars in aid depend on that message.

The Israeli Army is brutal in forcing Palestinians off land they have lived on for generations and many Americans are not comfortable paying for that.

The World Jewish Congress declared war on Germany in 1933. Search "Judea declares war on Germany" and read about it yourself. That was a big topic in the Tehran conference from what I read.

A good book to read is the letters one of the Nuremburg prosecutors wrote to his wife during the trials, never thinking they would be read by anyone but her. "Letters From Nuremburg" by Dodd.

A lot of stuff at Nuremburg was certainly true but I really don't think that Germans were shrinking heads. This is again the type of stuff that was talked about at the conference in Tehran. Or you can look up individual points on David Irvings' site at www.fpp.co.uk

He has had the trust of more members of Hitler's inner circle than any other writer.
