Guest
What is it about Thais and Hitler? Thai parliament quarrel escalates in Hitler salute By Saksith Saiyasombut After last month’s public misbehavior of a Thai MP involving peeking on a pornographic image on his phone (we reported), another crass misdemeanor played out for everybody to see in the Thai parliament. This time, a heated debate escalated in one MP giving the Hitler salute and screaming “Heil Hitler†at the top of his lungs on the House floor... http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/552424-thai-parliament-quarrel-escalates-in-hitler-salute/ Also, see this on HM Rama VII paying his respects to Herr Schickelgruber in person: http://asiapacific.anu.edu.au/newmandala/2012/05/02/rama-vii-and-hitler/
Guest lazyphil
bit silly since hitler would have terminated thais in a heart beat on a whim by numerous methods-as he did with the russians, cant make out russian neo nazis, must be a bit thick too
Coss
Once again the depth and breadth of education in Thailand is laid bare for all to see.
Horneytorney
I wonder what the two issues should have to do with each other! During early 30's, Hitler was internationally very well respected and many royalities and politicians visited him and paid their respect to him. 1936 both Olympic games (summer and winter) were in Germany and many big shots attended! If a MP nowadays in a heated debate makes a Hitler Salute, it can only be disqualified as a utmost stupidity and a prove that he has emotionally himself not under control and has also a lack of arguments. I do not think it reflects in any way his politicial ideology. Just an idiot that should not be reelected. Now more interesting would be to discuss the roles of certain Thai politicians after 1936 and the alliance of Thailand during WWII
acockasian
Once again the depth and breadth of education in Thailand is laid bare for all to see. Isn't he doing that to insult someone? Compare them to a Nazi?
ThaiHome
Once again the depth and breadth of education in Thailand is laid bare for all to see. Care to explain that comment? The MP was making a point that the speaker of the house was railroading the reading of a bill into vote without allowing further debate. I bit radical, but certainly apt for the situation and shows the MP certainly had knowledge of how the Nazi’s ran the German Reichstag in the 30’s and the passing of the Enabling Act of 1933 and afterwards. I think your comment shows more about your education and ethnocentricity and your knee jerk reactions then anything about the Thai education system (as bad as it is). Bangkoktraveler
What Hitler did is not much different then what others have done. His problem is he lost: if he had won........
