Dean of Siam graduate school calls on caretaker govt to resign

The dean of Law Graduate School of Siam University called on the caretaker government to resign to pave way for the enforcement of ruling tradition that is not stated in the Constitution.

Jade Donavanik, the dean of the law graduate school, said House dissolution could cause more trouble now that both sides refused to accept each other's stand.

He said the caretaker government should resign while the People's Democratic Reform Committee should not form its own people's council.

He said the must be a law for establishing the council and the Election Commission should be assigned to elect members of the council.

CAPO estimates number of protesters at 98,650

The Centre for the Administration of Peace and Order estimated the number of the anti-government protesters at 11.50am at 98,650 people.

http://www.nationmul...0-30221684.html

p.s. And it is greatly in their interests to underestimate!

Fuck this. I was at Chatuchak at 10am and the people started passing untill 12.30 when they were still passing I called it quits. 2,5 hours of people and only 98,000 ...... that is such a blatant fucking lie! Must have been at least 100,000 passing Chatuchak! And that was 1 of 9 marches. 500,000 people out today is probably much closer to the truth. Will post pics tonight

Hi,

98,650

Why 98,650 and not 100,000? Seems a weird estimate.

Sanuk!

Says the BP:

"An estimated 200,000 demonstrators were gathered in Ratchadamnoen and Ratchadamnoen Nok avenues on Monday morning, near the Democracy Monument."

And that is just one site!

"The main rally led by protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban was at least three kilometres long when it began the almost 30km march from the Government complex on Chaeng Wattana Road to Government House in the centre of Bangkok."

At least these protests show one thing. Thais are finally awakened and do not want to put up with politicians abusing their position and unbridled corruption anymore. It is kinda the buck stops here!

Whomever gets in power next now knows that they cannot get away with blatant and overt corruption anymore. And that is a good thing.
