radioman
LINE all the way for me, couldn't get through a day without those cutesy cartoon stickers. WhatsApp for some of the work buddies but the lack of video calling is a snag and nothing seems as robust as LINE, most likely as it has apparently no encryption. waerth
Just recently got line on my pc to be able to converse with my young date ...... lots of cute stickers indeed. Still figuring out how to install the "illegal" stickers I downloaded into my Windows 7 line app For now I just attach them which works fine

radioman
Both are essentially messaging applications (apps in the vernacular). They work over a data or Wi-Fi connection and so are essentially free once you have the connection bought and paid for. In addition to messaging and sending images Line further allows voice and video calls. Since these work globally it provides essentially free international phone calls. Essentially the same as Skype but tailored more for use on a mobile device rather than a traditional pc/laptop environment. Line also works on a PC and allows you to have 2 instances of the application installed adding even more flexibility. The icing on the cake is Lines addition of cute themed cartoon "stickers" that can replace those "kiss me quick" messages Both seem to be fairy well used. Line more so in this part of the world probably thanks to its Japan origin and style focus.
WorldFun
and now line also competes directly with skype-out ie. lowcost calls to regular phone numbers which however in this day and age already obsolete for many new age folks & chicks! whatsapp has what going for it really and their biz model is add free paid for annual subscriptions (in some countries) lolz?? good luck to FB but probably the deal will never go through...
