I had a look at last years Google trends for 2013 (2014 as yet unavailable) the most searched keyword / phrase Google world wide :

 

The Fox (What Does the Fox Say? ) came top with over 400 million searches.

"The video in case your one of the few that has not seen it"...... ummmm that means a small portion of the population have seen it so I think "one of the many that has not seen it" would have been a more accurate comment. Youtube stats are misleading as in many cases viewers watch the video on more than one occasion sometimes dozens of times especially in younger age groups

Odd - all the Thai's I know are loving this version, I actually thought the Thai version was the original song until one of the kids told me it was a parody,

 

When I saw the original I thought that was a parody.
