cavanami
Vicious Circle Wilbur Smith Gripping, fast moving tale. Good, easy read but I expected the ending and maybe another follow up novel? ***
zen4dummies
I read Bob Woodward's 4 book series on Bush's wars and then Obama's Wars. A lot of it was quite dry. I got caught up on modern history Then I read The Great Gatsby for something lighter. Fitzgerald is my type of writer.

YimSiam
I am soldiering on through the murk of Samuel Lyde's The Asian Mystery - I thought it would be a murder-thriller taking place between Bangkok and Hong Kong, but it turns out it's an ancient thing on the Alawites of Syria. It is not much fun... yet I continue a few pages each night, because the more I suffer, the more I deserve my next escape to Bangkok.
cavanami
The Kennedy Men ***1/2 A history of the Kennedy's, starting the Joe Sr. I never realized how sickly JFK was! This was an eye opener!! Author states that he uncovered many sources that did not come forward for other books of this nature. At times a bit repetitive but an interesting read. My Penis is hungry
Republic of Pirates, Colin Woodard, noon fiction, very very interesting - Pirates at the time, far from being the evil we're taught actually are democratic, happy to have any colour or race, free'd the poor, disliked royality, and loved the pretender to the crown. Very interesting read
