The world's most pierced man, Rolf Buchholz, has been denied entry into Dubai after he was due to make an appearance at a hotel nightclub.

The 53-year-old German has 453 piercings on his body and face, as well as two horn implants on his forehead.

Mr Buchholz told the BBC that airport staff said they feared he may be practising "black magic". :ghost:

The computer expert was recognised by the Guinness Book of Records in 2012 as the world's most pierced man.

Mr Buchholz told the Associated Press news agency that he was initially allowed through immigration, but was later stopped prior to customs and put on a flight to Istanbul.

As a result, his scheduled appearance at the Cirque le Soir nightclub in Dubai's Fairmont Hotel on Friday was cancelled.

The club said in a statement on Sunday that it had done its best to get Mr Buchholz into the country, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

Posting on Twitter after the incident, Mr Buchholz vowed never to return to Dubai again.

He said his luggage was still lost in Dubai.

Police and officials in Dubai have yet to comment on the incident.

Is it just me? Am I turning into my grandfather?

Personally I have never understood the fascination of multiple piercings and Tattoos.

If I have a statement to make it will be on a printed T-shirt and not a permanent inking to my skin, body piercings were made over 30 years ago and have not been used this millennium.

Don't get me wrong some tats work and look good, but just not my cup of tea, each to ones own I presume.

The problem is they will stay with your for life, unless you have them bleached out ... which never looks the same. My mother's father had a rose and dagger tattooed on his left forearm. Granddad once told me he wished he'd never had it done. But one day my mother told me a secret. He'd done it to cover up the name of an old girlriend, whose name he'd foolishly had tattooed on his arm when he was young. :p

I am a prime example of a person who should have been tatted, inner city punk, ex motorcycle gang and rock bands a wrong side of the tracks wild child and so forth but it just never appealed to me.

I could have been sucked in and complied with peer pressure but I refused, the same as addictions I have never shied away from the fact that I have a constant battle against alcoholism, it is better to be honest with oneself and address it head on rather than living in a sense of denial. Gambling, I have never placed a bet in my life, I don't have the first clue what to do in a betting shop or a casino, thank bhudda for that fact.

Am I a boring old fart? Far from it, people who have known me for years will admit that I am party central but now I middle aged (i.e. in my 50's) and over 20 years in Thailand I tend to be mellow now in my advancing years, no need to ruffle feathers. I am not a 280LB farang at deaths door whom certain BM's pictured me as before meeting me haha.

Hi,

No problem with either tattoos or piercings, although I personally don't get piercing, but as with most things moderation is the key.

As bust pointed out that guy looks to have some issues.

And to get back to the topic, there should have been no valid reason to deny him entry into the country as having a ton of piercings is not a crime.

Sanuk!
