Guest
Why did Alexis Tsipras give the people false hope .. the people said no to more years of cruel austerity measures and debt for the young of Greece for 30 years. This coward and Judas did not follow what his people wanted .... The people should demand elections right now and remove this man and everyone connected with this outrage of democracy ... Maybe I'm the only one on this board to wish the weak, the old pensioners, the young unemployed and poor of Greece well in their struggle against this evil of the new world order that is to come, and being entraped by nothing more than greedy banks and money lenders .. buffalo_bill
Maybe I'm the only one on this board to wish the weak, the old pensioners, the young unemployed and poor of Greece well in their struggle against this evil of the new world order that is to come, and being entraped by nothing more than greedy banks and money lenders .. Unfortunately the Greek people have over hundreds of years successfully cultivated a lifesytle of spending other peoples money and are now just facing the new situation that the lenders have enough . ( At least I hope so ) You do further not realise that the " greedy banks" are out of this game long ago , it is mostly other countries that shall loose their money . And there again it is the money of people who did work and pay tax that has later been used to support aforementioned parasites . They received 150.000.000 Euros to help establishing a system that makes sure taxes are paid , money disappeared without any results of course . Their history in the EU and the Euro is nothing but fraud and fake and lies .The Greeks are dreamers who need a kick in the arse to wake up . The poor pensioner crying in front of an empty ATM machine is responsible for his own fate , not Merkel .
Guest
If Greece is destroyed completely, an olive, a tree, a vine and a boat will remain. That is enough to rebuild her from the beginning. What great words to inspire the Greek people from Odyesseus Elytis
Dexi
Of course the Greeks voted in favour of the bailout > they are going to be given another 70 -80 billion Euros, who would refuse such an offer ? The conditions attached may look strict ,such as selling off state assets. But the figure of 50 billion euros seems very optimistic .My guess is they will be back, cap in hand, asking for more cash in a couple of years and we will go through the same process again.Much better to let them default and leave the Eurozone and have a fresh start with their own currency. They will probably never repay their debts anyway

baa99
Tsipras is just your typical Greek pol. He will say anything to get elected. It was always impossible to have government free spending AND stay in the euro. If the Greeks fully implement the economic reforms they have a chance to achieve a more dynamic economy. However the deep rooted corruption throughout Greek society may derail any reforms.
dean
Maybe they can try the method used in "Braveheart," have the Greek women impregnated by German men.
