Cheap Hotel For Single Asian Female

A friend, Filipina, mid 30's, decent, good catholic girl, is planning a few nights in Bangkok, an honest to goodness temples, food and markets holiday. She needs a decent and cheap place to stay, pretty much any area that has restaurants around and with easy access to the city. Looking at Khao San area but a lot of hostels with shared accom and I think she would prefer a little privacy. Any ideas, advice?

 

Anyone with an off duty yf or gf with a day to spend as a tour guide?

I'd look around Pratunam, tons of shopping, easy access to BTS to get to river and see temples

 

Without knowing budget, I can't really recommend anything.

When family or friends visit BKK not looking for TG I always recommend City Lodge Suk Soi 19 near everything they have all enjoyed there stay, all my other freinds looking for TG Honey Hotel.
