Living near Samut Prakan, Suvarnabhumi airport, I believe it is a requirement for all taxi's to be allowed to operate from there to have rear seat belts fitted ...

Well it's very easy and most farang can work this out. If you are on your own, jump in front seat and there will be a seat belt.

If there are more of you only pick a modern taxi with rear seat belts, or if an old taxi sit back, chill out, and enjoy the journey .....

" Only Knobs sit in the front passenger seat nearside rear "

Are you serious ..... you have never sit in the passenger seat near side rear of a car, sorry I mean a taxi, ...... because you believe less probability of injury in a collision, what a boring sheltered life you lead. Well I suppose thinking in this way not make you a knob in that case, only any person sitting beside you, for being with you ....
