Manilla airport is a shit hole, even the new one is falling apart. Frankly and oddly the "low cost" terminal is the better of them. Lounges are crap. Back in Manilla, I prefer hunting in Green Belt Cuba Bar, than going to the red light area, that's just ugly and crap. Street girls offering massage are hit and miss, which defies common sense, All in all, avoid Manilla, Lucky for me my main office is Subic. Just dont get there often.

Friend of mine from Oz just went back to Bangkok for a few weeks this month, first visit in nearly 10 years, used to live in Bangkok, came back and saw me today. Was stunned at the costs and comparison to Oz, Bangkok in her humble opinion was no longer cheap, the best clothing deal she got (being female) was she thought very funny to be Tesco. Up country she fond things obviously cheaper, more advanced, but still far closer to Oz pricing than when she lived here.

Sounds like OZ I didn't shop in expensive places in Thailand, I shopped in normal places and coming to Australia it's amazing that "food" is almost same price as Thai. I remember years going to the movies with my wife and JJ aged 3, asking how much is the cost for a Tickets. "$16 for adult Half price for the child, " So $40 I ask her NO - $16 for you, $8 for the girl, and the baby is free. Wife was most impressed. Mind you at the pub a few weeks back she was refused service unless she showed her I.D. so she did, pub thought being born in the future quite funny. We live inner city. it's cheaper to get a taxi (NOT cheap) than a bus if there are 2 or more people!!!! NUTS
