Coss
Went NZ - stop in Brisbane - Bangkok. Food had on the BSN - BKK leg made me spew, the fish was off. Went Bangkok - Sydney - NZ Food on the SYD - AKL leg gave me immediate projectile shits. Now i've eaten all sorts of food in SEA and have a (normally) cast iron stomach. I don't know why but this time it was the airline food that did me in. No more Thai airways for me. :: :: ::
Guest
Sounds like the Aussies are trying to kill you. Could be because the the principled stance of the NZ government. Three cheers for NZ.
samak
food on thai airways is not too bad, even in coach. the only problem is, that they serve always the same menu on certain routes
jp1
Coss, I'm very surprised to read this. I use Thai Airways frequently and never ever had any problem with their food. TG's food is considered to be one of the best in the airline industry.
Guest
Did other passengers had the same problem or were you the only one? I never had a problem with TG.
Coss
Maybe it was my turn, I'm a bit of a gastronome and I eat what ever I can find that's interesting, i.e. worm tails in Bkk. But the catering out of Aus killed me both times. I've always liked ThaiAir, but when your body reacts like that to the airline food, it's time to change. lopburi3
You didn't have them grill one of your deep kalong fish by chance? :: Did see report a week or so ago about a huge surplus of fish down in Oz as the Hong Kong market was not buying due to SARS so guess they might have a quality control problem if all the freezers are full and someone is trying to make a little extra. However i never accept the box on the Bkk to Phuket flights or any dometic thai flight..looks like rubber. Having said that food on many is very basic..even in bus/first
