Maybe start a poll to determine what percentage of users are on slow-speed dial-up? Or can this be seen on the back-end? Seems the only real advantage is not loading an extra page, but which is more convenient for users to utilize. The issue comes down to speed. It's a trade-off. Is dial-up really that slow here?
