Pay girl outta the bar (pay out discussion)

"And while thinking about it, last time I was in Las Vegas, the girls told me they had to pay the bar US$100 every night, just to work there. And all they did was dance. Never saw any of them leave with a customer."

That's pretty much how the nudie bars everywhere in the States work. Dancers pay the house to "rent space" ala a ahairdresser in a salon. That fee is generally about 20% of the an average night tips. I worked in a nudie bar in Ft. Lauderdale during my uni days. What a great job, especially when yer 20, LOL!

Dancers also pay the DJ to play their music and the bouncers( usually $20-30, but maybe more now). Similar to waitresses tipping busboys & bartenders to get better service.

Cheers,

SD

"Not too sure where you are trying to go with this. Human trafficking usually relates to selling people into some sort of bondage, or a situation that does not benefit them."

Read the rest of my posting - I really do not care what people do, but when falangs post to the world that they are doing things that are illegal - I question such behavior. Why? One bad apple spoils the other apples which implies that a few may ruin it for everybody.

If he choices to run a bar and make money on the side from a prostitution business that is none of my business just as long as he does not broadcast it to the whole world. I think everybody, for the most part, is in agreement with this.

You mention human trafficking: you say "or a situation that does not benefit them." When you are denied the right to have a boy friend, does not fall under the category "that does not benefit them?" YES! And guess what else my friend, there are a lot of people in the world that would see his actions as being part of the human trafficking market.

As a side note, do you think such working conditions are right? Of course the answer is NO.

In this World, there are many people that want to put to a stop such activities. As I have previously posted, Thailand's human trafficking/flesh trade does not score well in the world scene. When Thailand starts to take action, do you think they will go after the organized big boys or do you think it will be the small fish?

As it has been reported in the paper, some falangs in Thailand have already been arrested because of the flesh trade.

Besides, this original posting dealt with the scams beer bars run and this is just one of many scams.

Some falangs loved to be scammed - I don't.

MM,

Well dude, we will just have to agree to disagree.

Common.....Almost every post here is related to an illegal activity. It's illegal to buy a prostitutute in LOS, although very, very rarely enforced. You're amazing. In other posts you are proud of the fact you can buy a whore for 300 baht, and thinking paying any more is making you a sucker, and then turn around and condemn Terranova for his participation in the scene ::

A bar owner would not have the opportunity to hire prostitutes, if there were not guys like you supplying the demand, for the supply and demand factor needed, to further it's existance. You, MM, like it or not, are a part of the problem, not the solution, to prostitution. You partake, so are as much of the problem as anyone else, including bar owners, or anyone else. Without you, the punter, the trade would cease to exist. What part of that do you not understand?

Hi Suadum,

I lived in Daytona Beach for 4 years, in my early 20's. I can relate, big time. :D

By the way, if a girl working at your bar does have a boy friend and you fire her, can she collect unemployment? Can she bring legal action against you for firing her without cause? Can you be arrested for having working conditions that are not normal?

I would like to hear your answers?

...hmhh... i think no, but the girl can do some more effective. She can talk to the police that the farang is working at the bar without a work permit (99% of the farangs dont have one).

cleaning ashtrays or so without a work permit is also forbidden. I know one farang

who getting in big troubles with that. :

>>>I used to be an investment banker on the trading side, largely proprietary trading on east european fixed income before moveing onto asset and credit swaps.<<<

So owning a beer bar confronts you with substantially less ethical dilemmas then your previous work? :D

About the boyfriend restriction, I never heard of this so I have some questions. Seems apparent to me that the girls will be "better" bargirls if not attached. But how do you define a boyfriend. A falung sending her money from farangland? What about a falung who lives in LOS and is/was a regular at your bar? And young girls all end up with a bf sooner or later, how can you keep them working for long?

can you give some examples of what problems you encountered that caused you to prohibit boyfriends?

Hi Mailuk,

Forceably sold into a situation that they (trafficked persons) desire not to be in. Be it bondage, slavery, or indentured servitude.

It expresses an unwillingness of the participants to be involved in the activity that is put forth to them, or which they are required to perform.

It speaks of 'unwilling participants', IMO.

Which makes it not applicable to the farang Thai bar scene. The girls there, are very willing participants. No one puts a gun to their head, forcing them to apply at a bar, that they know will require them to either fuck strangers on a regular basis, or pay the bar fines themselves. Girls that apply do not look to manager to pimp them out. They all know they will do that all by thenselves. The only thing the bar will require is payment for letting her ply her trade there.

Like I said before......a prostitute will use a bar much more to her benefit, than the bar will use the girl. She decides to work there for a reason, as opposed to standing on the street corner.

After leaving Uni I briefly worked in a Casino as a roulette and blackjack dealer. It was a sackable offence to fraternise with punters, the casino had their own security service made up from ex policemen who would often follow employess at the merest hint of suspicion. It was 99% the girls who had met a richman.

I am sure their are a few jobs out there that put restrictions on the social life and company that one can keep. However I would imagine in Pattaya if you are a pretty girl you can tell them to stuff their job.
