There has been some talk of certain posters dominating the board and the discussions. Some complaints that there is a "clique" that rules the board. This is true only because there are so many members here that don't post squat. If you want a good and diverse board here you NEED to speak up. Write something. POST SOMETHING! Everyone who has been to the LOS already has stayed in a hotel, eaten in a restaurant, drank at a bar, visited a massage parlor, gone to a gogo maybe, went to some Wats or other tourist attractions, made a Thai friend, done something cool or different, visited a city most may have not yet, trained as a kickboxer, gone sailing, scuba diving, rock climbing, learned how to give a massage at a Wat school, stayed in a Wat learning Buddhism or meditation techniques, gone to a shooting range, or even rented a boat to go fishing, or done a river raft tour, or visited a cool Elephant camp, helped a Thai school with their sports program, done some charity work, or lived in a mountain village, or Isaan village, or served with the military and worked here and played here, recently, or in the past, many go to the beaches here, have found nice out of the way spots to see and visit and experience, found a nice night club with good music, found good fares on flights, found good scholls to learn Thai cooking, (I know one guy who rents an airplane and flys around himself over the countryside), stayed in a cool hotel or bungalow, camped out in a federal reserve forest, seen mountains, and waterfalls, and ruins, seen a rocket festival or full moon festival, ridden a hot air balloon, hang glided, water skied, jet skied, parasailed, 4 wheeled in the jungle, bought inumerable trinkets, jewelry, clothing, souveniers, (sic?) partied and danced in discos, made wonderful friends and acquaintances, met beautiful women, seen a katoey show, been robbed and mugged, ( :: ) been fleeced by the coppers, driven all over, rented and rode motocykes and travelled around in interesting places, etc., etc. and etc. There is so much that could be here to read and enjoy, but that only can be possible if you POST SOMETHING!!! Enter a discussion. Start a new thread. Post a link to a picture. (After sending the pic to the mod in the forum and getting an okay to link to that pic of course. Certain things are not allowed here, remember.) Post the links to a good hotel or place to visit, post your thoughts and experiences for the rest of us to read, post a trip report, a story, a suggestion, a poll, a joke, a plane fare, an anecdote, an intersting night out, a good bar, the price of the beers at a drinking establishment, SOMETHING. You can't have it all to your liking, but if you post stuff it will generate interest from others, and they'll likely add to your post. If you don't like certain posters, IGNORE THEM!! TOTALLY! If you don't like what a poster says to you, tell the mod in the forum. If he gives you no satisfaction, PM KS about it. If you don't like a certain mod, PM KS and complain about it. If enough complaints are made of a Moderator KS WILL do something about it.

 

By posting stuff for all to read you are contributing to the health and diversity and interests of the board. (As long as what you post is in line with the rules provided here. If in doubt, send it to the Mod to look over. If you don't agree with the Mod's decision, send it to KS as the final word and law. Don't just complain, do something about it. If you want to see certain things on here, speak up!! If you want the board to reflect things you would like to see here more often, post your own stuff in that vein, and you "will" get results and others who will add to your stuff if there is any interest in it at all by the rest of the board. There really isn't any "clique" here. Just a bunch of prolific posters who DO POST. Who do take the time and effort to contribute, whether you like it or not, they also have they right to blather on here and spout their opinions and thoughts and ideas and experiences, but at least they post. If you don't how will you ever change the board, see things you want to see, read stuff you want to read, see pics and links and stuff of what you yourself want to see here? Help make the board the way you want to see it, and POST SOMETHING.

 

If every member posted just one thing a week or so imagine all the stuff there would be here to read and look at, some of interest to yourself. If everyone posted just one post in a thread a week imagine all the stuff discussed, and opinions heard.

 

Some guys like to debate, to argue, to conflict and rattle on. Their choice really. You don't have to get involved, nor do you even have to reply to them, if you don't like them, as I said, IGNORE THEM!! They'll go away if you don't take the bait. Works for me sometimes. :: And works on me as well!

 

Stop bitching and do something to help make the board a better place for all of us to log onto. POST SOMETHING!

 

Remember, this board is supposed to not only be "about" Sanuk, but to be SANUK.

 

Some of you "constant debaters" might wanna lay off a bit on the continual bickering and arguing, which to me sometimes, just seems to be for the sake of arguing, and does little to help the board be interesting. What I'd love to see is a lot of the more prolific posters and old hands and long time Sanukers post more on their trips, experiences, and times in the LOS, and less time arguing about it all. JIMHO of course. There is a lot of wisdom, experience, stories, tales, anecdotes and information that could be put up here that isn't being put up here I feel. All much more interesting to read than the debate threads, again, IMO.

 

To those who complain, or just lurk, please, do yourself, myself, and all of us here, and the board, a favor, POST SOMETHING. Please.

This sounds a bit desperate, things aint that bad surely? The board has gotten quieter/more boring maybe because there are now even more places for people to post.I think this is the least clique ruled board by a long way compared to some others that better remain nameless lest the internet police come after me again.

Oh alright thailand-uk.com and nanapong.com, this is a far more civilised place. The only complaints I hear are the sometimes SS like moderation and the lack of photo posting opportunity.The private area has never really worked, so why not turn that into a photo posting area? Sometimes this board reminds me of trinks work, originally he used to post stuff everyone wanted to read full of pics of bargirls and intimate reports then the PC lot clipped his wings and he ended up recycling jokes and recommending pig roasts at restaurants and letting everyone know there was 2 baht off rice at foodland. Things are getting a bit stale here perhaps because people just don't want to post as much due to too many rules and no can do's. It's a fine line between civilised and dull, maybe things need rethinking so that people will want to post more. We must not forget that sex sells and perhaps that is what there is not enough of, I like reading about hotels and 'relationships' and wat visits but not all the time. I think it's forgotten that the core business here was, lets be honest whores and nightlife, like it or not. I think more people than perhaps we realise are still mainly interested in this and don't see so much of it here anymore-peter

Too fucking right, bro', and I'm glad somebody has finally had the balls to say it out loud. That fucker Khun Sanuk is the main culprit, IMHO: always sticking his fucking nose in where it's not wanted, and generally hogging the limelight. Christ, you'd think it was his board, the way the self-righteous ponce carries on. ::

I think that my stand on pictures (especially the kinds I think you are referring to) is well known, and it *will not* change.

 

There are plenty of sites out there where you can see pictures of nude Thai girls and I therefore see no reason to turn the memberarea into yet another porn site.

I read it and saw nothing wrong with it, and therefore unhid it.

This made the 2 deleted posts totally irrelevant, and I therefore deleted them.

Agreed that this site should not be reduced to a porn site.

 

I am not ashamed of entering here, and do not need to hide it. If it was a porn site, I would be damned more careful and enter it less frequently. It would also turn away a lot of posters who I appreciate.
