John,

Lets not make this a pissing contest :D :D

Like football, I want to see a great race and that the best man wins.

It just happens to be Lance, and good that Basso is giving him some resistance, all the rest is gone.

As for watching, 3 to 4 hours live each day for me is more than enough :p

I like that message you used to include -- man being only as old as the woman he is with -- better. Being in my fifties, I need ways to feel younger again. When I look at your avatar, I feel like I'm being pissed on.

Yeah, Basso, that's been my guy all along. Sheat, you want a pissing contest? No one comments on the tour, one of the most lackluster ever, for 10 days and then only when it is a foregone conclusion? Now it is reduced to all the drama of an auto race; waiting for someone to crash. Heck, if it were combined with Spain's recently-concluded 'Running of the Bulls' and next month's 'La Tomatina' festival in Italy as a 'Mediterranean Triathlon' these board members wouldn't take notice unless they were also simultaneously kicking a black-and-white checkered ball about. Alright, I must say Armstrong knows how to use his team and how to win the TdeF, all he has ever accomplished as a cyclist, which has brought him fortune and fame but what about his choice of women? Think of the Euro-hardbodies he has rejected for Sheryll Crow?

John,

Euhhhh..... have a look, I still use the same tagline as ever before....... :D

Sfinkz,

Lets put it this way, Lance does specialise ONLY in the TdF, he prepares meticulously the whole year ONLY for that, and the team is built around him ONLY for that purpose, including the mechanics, physios, cook right to the team managing.......

As for not writing earlier, no one else did, why should I ?

As for his women, guess we should invite him to LOS then :p

BB

nearly on his way to LOS

Things are always changing

--------------------------

usually, if they change, they change one time, and the momentum helps the guy who took charge. If you followed the tour since 2 decades, you will be hard-pressed to find what is commonly called a "surprise" winner or even a favorite challeenged. And i don't mean an upcoming repeat-champion winning the first time. Even if i forgot one surprise (Fignon, Ullrich?), and one time where the leader/favorite after the mountain stages lost at the end, still the yellow jersey usually ends on Caesar's shoulder. It used not to be that way, and it's too bad. Lemond edging Fignon by 8", was definitely a show stopper. Give you one for this

Yes, Lance depends on his team, and they never failed him. I don't think, like BB says, that he cares if some other teams are stronger than his. he can always buy one or 2 guys from it for the next year ::....
