Redbaron
Really drunk right now, and can't seem to work it out. How many spheres with a diameter of 40mm would fill a 50 litre box? Approx.. Thanks in advance, this will save lives. Drunkbaron.

BelgianBoy
suadum said:~550-600 as a guess. Cheers, HungOver Tiger Good guess, but that depends on the color of the spheres, the temperature, and the size of the box too. BB too sober (but not yet 4 PM here)
Nervous_Dog
40Diameter is the same as a 40mm Cube, so that makes it easy if the 50 litre box is almost a cube, say, 40 x 36 x 36, thats say a little of 50 litre, then you'd get nearly 800. OCgringo
are you bringing your own ping pong balls ? :)
danish30
Highly depends on the dimensions of your box, I would say anywhere from 0 to near 800. But if they are table tennis balls and you are allowed to squish them (other kinds of balls could be made smaller too with the help of a hydraulic press) it should be possible to fit a whole lot more in your box, no matter what dimensions it is. Redbaron
The box would be close to being a cube (40x36x36 sounds right to me). I don't want to squash them. The balls are black, the temperature would be 27 to 29oC - they wouldn't be stacked, they'd just be dropped in. Thanks again... Now my hangover is getting worse.
