Unless a permanent barfine has been paid or adequate notice given, she ain't coming back to work for me or any of my friends...I lost a stunning and highly succesful girl to a 2nd timer wanker who came for 2 months.

That seems like cutting your nose off to spite your face to me. If she is a good earner, why on Earth not let her back to make you more money? If she is not there she is not costing you anything and as you have said, there is no shortage of hire-able staff, so she is easily replaceable. Is it that you are much of a control freak? :dunno:

And as you know, I *strongly* feel "permanent bar fines" are absolute and complete bullshit and I would never, ever under any circumstances pay one and advise any who ask me to do the same. You do not own the girl. Up to you if you do not want to hire her back, but that's just pulling $$ out of your own pocket. If she is a good earner, there will be many, many places willing to give her a job.

But I also *strongly* feel that one should be courteous to your boss and give him at least two weeks notice if you are going to move on. But even in the West, IME that seems to be a lot to ask of minimum wage service industry employees :dunno:

YMMV, JMHO.

Regards,

SD

If a girl can go with a punter for 2 weeks and no BF paid...

Has to be a head ache for a bar owner. I suspect T's problem with the girl who left is that the other girls will all pull the same stunt if they see that T lets her back. The whole BF system would crumble LOL

Everyone knows that the original godfather set the bar way too high, everything that came after never came close. The long opening scene of the italian wedding was phenomenal with small stuff thrown in like the mob guy smashing the wedding photographers camera and the feds outside the home writing down license plates. And Luca Brassi nervous as hell rehearsing what he wants to say when he gets a hearing in front of the godfather (Brando), and the GFer secretly scared of Brassi.

You know what really killed Casino for me? First, it came out after Goodfellas. And the way they did it with the characters made me think they were trying to do Goodfellas 2 but could not come to financial terms with Ray Liotta... Plus Robert DeNeiro as a Jewish guy just did not work for me. The whole killing Joe Pesce and his brother reminded me of the Billy Batts situation in Goodfellas but not nearly as interesting a situation as when they killed Billy Batts which was for pretty much talking shit. In Casino it took a laundry list of things for them to say "alright time for them to go". In Goodfellas Billy Batts got wacked for talking shit at the bar. Thats just how it happens with guys like that back then. Such an interesting time was the 70s.

have you ever thought about various levels of barfines. the best girls you maybe charge 600 baht , the next lower level 500 baht, and bottom level 400 baht. it seems that only the same girls get bafrfined at the places i go.

can a ugly girl who gets no barfine survive only on ladydrinks.

of course with this system youll also have to ecplain to uglt girls they will also have to charge less for their fees. example stunner charge 2000 baht , uglys 1100 baht. this way you will get more action for everybody.

Well, the movie casino, i really brought up here for the character S. Stone played. Even the James Wood character, we can compare to some stupid thai guy (brother/pimp/partner in crime...) some girl never quite shakes off, no matter a leech he is.

I thought the psychology in this was well seen, and left blanks to fill as to who is what to who, and damned if that did not compare to some situations we witnessed, guessed or dealt with in LOS, albeit less dramatic. The main thing being, as independant the girl was, her past follows her so she can duplicate it ad nauseam, her possible good fortunes never quite having the better of her low self-esteem which she basically dies from.

I do not think thais, being the pragmatist that they are, die from low self-esteem, though.... ::

No doubt Coppola is a cinematography virtuoso. I 'd like to read about his take on his movies, with his hindsight.

You might want to check out the godfather dvd box. I heard that the commentary track on the godfather 3 is very good and insightful on the way coppola works and how hollywood forced him to go back to the godfather again and again.
