Stickman
I imagine the Oriental Hotel would be the most expensive, or perhaps the suite in one of the other 5 star properties?
samak
with close to 20 Five Star Hotels in Bangkok with prices starting from around 100-200 USD you probably have to look for the one with the largest and most luxurious suites! maybe BuBi is the expert on that! pe7e
If you were paying $1000+ a night for a top suite I would expect the hotel to be 'acommodating' to your wishes, but they would not expect such a guest to bring in a low end professional off the lower Suk. If you could afford a $1000 a night suite you would find yourself acceptably upmarket entertainment, wouldn't you?
samak
really??? i have seen very rich guys going for the cheapest kind of pros. there are several guys on this board, who make more than 150k usd a year and love to debate whether to pay 500 or 1500 THB for short term! Dumsoda
Just out of curiousity, did a google and find the Oriental is offering a "mighty fine" rate on their suites. The Oriental Suite is an absolute steal at US $2200 a night (+ 10% + 7.7% of course) somewhere around 106,000 Baht per day all up.... looks O.K. 300 Square metres, so I guess enough room to bring half the staff of NEP for a little "after hours fun"....hate to think what they would charge for the extra towels though !!! 555 If your budget is a little stretched, they do have cheaper (or should I say less expensive) options... Siam Suite....a mere US 1500 ++ Or the "Budget traveller's delight.... The Author's Suites at the bargain basement, rock bottom price of US 950 ++ Was a tad disappointed though......they could only offer me the Oriental Suite for 16 of the 29 days I wanted to book.....I think Sheik Ya Booty already has it booked....LOL... Even at Baht instead of US$, it would be at the top end of my "Pauper's Budget"... still the pictures look pretty.... Chock dee Dumsoda

..
I'd vote for the Peninsula Suite at the Peninsula Hotel. US$2600/night and up. From the website: The Peninsula Suite sits high on the top of The Peninsula Bangkok as the jewel in its crown. Its many features include both formal and private dining rooms, a fully equipped fitness center, an art gallery, private study, sumptuous bedrooms, and lavish bathrooms. As you enter the suite, the warmth and beauty of rich wood and walls surround you. The formal living room has elegant Persian rugs which complement the hues of golden silk, deep green, and neutral in the traditional furnishings. This is without question one of the finest addresses in Bangkok. Total area: 364 sq m / 3,919 sq ft. Features * A formal living and dining room * A private living and dining room * Butler's room * Fully equipped fitness center * Master and guest bedrooms * Dressing / sitting areas * Grand gallery for art lovers * Private study room Master Bedroom * Super king-size bed * Electronic bedside control panel on each bedside table * Private study area with an armoire, a color television, short-wave radio receiver and safe * Large in-room safe * Separate dressing area and a walk-in closet for male and female * Master marble bathroom with a whirlpool, two separate vanity counters, shower cubicle, two telephones, two-line hands-free telephones, two televisions, and a valet call button * Custom-designed armoire with a music system, including a radio, cassette player, CD player, color television, multi-laser disc player, multi-system VCR, and camcorder video playback facilities Guest Bedroom * Queen-sized twin beds * Electronic bedside control panel on each bedside table * Large in-room safe * Private sitting area * Separate dressing area and a walk-in closet for male and female * Marble bathroom with a whirlpool, two separate vanity counters, shower cubicle, two telephones and two-line hands-free telephones, two televisions, and a valet call button * Custom-designed armoire with a music system, including a radio, cassette player, CD player, color television, multi-laser disc player, multi-system VCR, and camcorder video playback facilities Private Living and Dining Room * Entertainment center with a 41" television and a hi-fi stereo with centralized speakers and subwoofer Formal Living and Dining Room * Dining room or boardroom setting for ten persons * Sitting areas with a sofa, armchairs, and a side table and chairs * Cloakroom located near the main entrance * Armoire with a hi-fi stereo system and surround speakers * A baby grand piano * Butler's mimic panel (in the pantry only) It wouldn't suck! buffalo_bill
Suadum, most regretfully I have to let you know that the Pen suite at 2600 is for financially stressed individuals only. My beloved lodge by the river on the opposite banks might consider it an honour to offer you the complete 16th flor as one suite , we are then talking about more than 1400 squaremeter I guess. Due to clever design all suites can be combined to one. In case you consider to invite one or more birds of the night nobody would ask any questions in particular as you would have your own lift with security man. Mosey on over. I agree with this statement. Not necessarily debating s/t tariffs, but prefering lo-so bgs to upscale escorts. I have personal knowledege of visiting businessmen (one blood related) that like the "slut" factor when bringing the girls back to their suites in the Dusit Thani. They can well afford suites at the likes of The Oriental, Peninsula, Shangra-La, Sukothai, but opt for the Dusit because of location and business connections. When you spend that kind of baht and do not disturb other hotel guests, the 4-5 star hotels can be quite accommodating. I reckon so.
