Keep or lose post counts?

Even if a high number of posts does not necessary give a clue of the seriosity of the poster, if does at least give an indication, how much effort he has put into posting.

 

If I see a guy with >25 posts telling the rest of us, how the world turns, I do not take it as seriously as when a longtimer does the same.

 

Does not mean I would agree with it, but I might consider it a bit longer.

yes and low posters a dark horse LOS yodas, seldom giving snippets of pearls of wisdom only on every eclipse of the sun lol, gimme a fooking break!

They tried this (getting rid of post counts) on a footbal related board that I post on occasionally and for some reason the board went to ratshit. Eventually long time posters harangued the board administrators for so long they added the post counts back again and it is eventually recovering. Don't ask me why, you would need a psychologist to explain it.
